Each year, PBC-DNE provides its members opportunities to learn, engage and grow their  business opportunities through various activities including networking events, educational workshops and seminars, not to mention social and charitable programs, as well as collaborative projects with the other business councils in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

    Join us for an exclusive 6-part masterclass on Independent Film Production led by Tony & Grammy award-winning film and theatre producer Jhett Tolentino. This two-day event is designed to offer a comprehensive exploration of independent film production. The first day will focus on theoretical aspects, while the second day will be a practical session where participants will produce a film.


    Who is it for?

    Filipino filmmakers, directors, producers, writers, and aspiring industry professionals interested in learning the professional way of independent film production.

    Day 1: Saturday, August 10

    • 09:00: Registration, light breakfast (coffee and pastries), and networking

    • 10:00: Part 1: Concept and Development

    • 11:00: Part 2: Financing

    • 12:00: Lunch Break

    • 13:00: Part 3: Pre-Production & Production

    • 14:00: Part 4: Post-Production

    • 15:00: Part 5: Film Festival

    • 15:55: Break

    • 16:00: Part 6: Sales & Distribution

    • 17:00: A Guide to Nikon's Latest Filmmaking Technology

    • 18:00: End

    Day 2: Sunday, August 11

    • 17:00: Film screening (from participants)

    • 18:00: Closing, including the presentation of certificates of attendance

      Equipment Requirements

        • Professional video cameras and operators will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops and professional video equipment, if available.
        • Please note that phone-filmed footage is not acceptable for this masterclass, as it does not meet Hollywood standards.
        • ⁠The final film format should ideally be ProRes, but MP4 is acceptable.
